PTA ELEMENTARY AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Contact info: brickellacademyasc@gmail.com

We are now accepting offers for middle school students  to lead a workshop or an adult to lead a club for our elementary students.

Did you know that middle school students can earn volunteer hours by simply helping at these clubs?  Fill out the interest form here:

Every year the PTA organizes a new set of exciting after school clubs for elementary students! The number of programs is dependent on the number of volunteers.

The more volunteers we have the more programs we can offer!

What is the benefit to being a club leader or parent coordinator?

  • Children of club leaders and parent coordinators are automatically given a spot in the club

  • You must attend every club meeting and perform your duties responsibly

  • See Quick Link Responsibilities of Parent Helpers to the right

  • If there are more parent volunteers than are needed for a club, a lottery will be held to select those parent coordinators.

Let us know if you're interested in leading a club or workshop or simply want to be a parent volunteer!

Registering for PTA After School Clubs

ES ASC Procedures

  • Registration opens promptly at 8 pm. There are limited spots so you are encouraged to register early.  Due to limited availability children will only be enrolled in one club.

  • You will be notified via email of your child’s positive enrollment. If you do not receive an e-mail, then your child was not enrolled.  Unenrolled students will be automatically added to the wait list and contacted if spots become available in the order of the timestamp on their registration.

  • Parent Volunteers Are Needed!  Two adult volunteers must be present at every club/workshop meeting.  Details of parent volunteer duties are located here:  ASC Parent Volunteer Responsibilities.  Parent volunteers must be able to attend every meeting and agree to perform his/her duties responsibly which includes communication with other club/workshop parent volunteers to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Please note that registration is NOT automatic enrollment. Enrollment will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis.  However, children of parent volunteers are guaranteed a spot in the club.  Please be advised that if you agree to volunteer and accept a spot for your child and then withdraw as a volunteer, your child will also be removed from the club and his/her spot given to a child on the wait list. Failure to meet your volunteer commitment will result in the inability of your child to participate in future clubs

  • After School Clubs run from 4 pm to 5:05.  Students will report to club upon classroom dismissal.

  • All elementary students must submit a ODS transportation change note to stay for ASC. These notes are submitted on each date – you cannot bulk submit.

  • Parent pick up is promptly at 5:05 - after two late pick ups a child may be removed from the club.

  • Parents will need to park in the main lot and walk up the front doors and wait for volunteers to dismiss their child.

  • Parents are not to enter the building.  Please have a photo ID ready to present to club volunteers.

  • Students who attend the Kidzquest program will be dropped off at Kidzquest when club dismisses.

  • After school clubs is a volunteer led PTA program.  We ask that you respect the registration and enrollment process. PTA elementary after school clubs are tremendously popular and space is limited. Parent volunteers give their personal time and work diligently to make it possible.

After School Clubs is a parent led PTA program.  The PTA welcomes your club suggestions and is looking for volunteers to lead clubs so that we may expand our options and offer opportunities to more ODS students. Please contact brickellacademypta@gmail.com if you are interested in leading a club.
